Our Year
2024 - First achievements
Dear Readers,
2024 was a big year for us. In January, we conducted our first JuRadChem field trip. Along with students from Austria and Germany, we visited the PSI and the KKL in Switzerland. This trip was made possible with the support of the GDCh "Sonderfond" and the PSI—a fantastic opportunity to experience world-class radiochemical research and its applications firsthand.
We also continued our online lecture series, Radiochemischer Abend, and welcomed our first participants to our internship database.
As we pass the torch to the next chairs, we are excited to see JuRadChem continue to grow and further connect young radiochemists in the DACH region.
Best regards, The Former Chairs,
Christian Urbank & Georg Tiebel

2023 - Starting slow, dreaming big
Dear Readers,
in 2023 we finally realized our small and silly idea of the JuRadChem. Our Idea is clear, giving radio-, nuclear- and actinide chemistry the stage they deserve, and connecting students interested in these fields with each other and with the industry.
We are steadily learning from our efforts, and we are step by step realizing our plans. In the coming year, we aim to build upon our achievements and further expand the JuRadChem.
Sincerely, the former chairs,
Christian Urbank and Isabelle Jeschke
